The problem
Contractors, developers and city building departments waste hours digging through building codes, zoning rules and their own project documents. A general chatbot doesn't know local amendments and can make things up. On top of that, small builders run the rest of the job out of spreadsheets, texts and paper, so mistakes like a double-charged invoice slip through.
What we built
- An AI code assistant that answers from building codes, zoning rules and the user's own uploaded documents first, cites the section, and stays on construction topics
- Three plans for contractors, developers and government teams, with document uploads, teams of up to 50 people, custom branding and an embeddable widget
- Stripe subscriptions with limits enforced per plan
- An installable mobile app (PWA), favorites, dark mode and in-app bug reports
- An admin panel with user management, document review and KPI dashboards
- Later, a full operations workspace: sub bidding by private link, proposals with e-signature, schedule templates, selections tracking, and Invoice Guard, which flags duplicate charges and overages on vendor invoices
From bids to a signed proposal
Subs bid by private link. Awarded bids flow into a proposal the client reviews and e-signs.
Code answers with citations
Plain-English answers from the code year the jurisdiction uses, with the section cited every time.
The result
ProCodes started as a building code assistant and has grown into an operations platform for contractors. The client keeps building it with us as the business grows.
The team's communication was excellent. All of Slavik's team appears to know what they're doing and I'd rate their skills high. I will continue to work with Slavik and his crew as my business continues to grow.
